So, I went to Portland, and I’ve gotta say…  I love Portland.  And when I say I love it, I really mean I love it.  My wonderful girlfriend and I went for the weekend to the Stumptown Comixfest to put out my new book with the TLE crew (Jared and Brianne Mees, and Dave Nuss).  Here are some pics!

tender loving empire is printing up some teeshirts with the above image to be sold along side my new comic at stumptown, and on their website.  i can’t wait to spend some time up in portland!

bunch of new news:

at the end of the month i’m heading out to portland for the sumptown comix fest to release my first new comic in many years. my friends over at www.tenderlovingempire.com are putting it together, along with some shirts and whatnot.

this is the front side of the rap around, 3 layer silkscreen cover (there’ll be 2 different color versions). looks like the book will be 24 pages. i’m really excited about this. the best part of graduating from artschool is having the time to work on comics again.

also, my girlfriend and i have moved out of the abacot gallery studio and into an amazing new space. pics coming soon on that…

also, i’ll be doing a new shirt design for www.threadless.com/catalog/select. Im super pumped about this one. should awesome!

oh and i have a cool drawing in bitch magazine this month! i’m really happy to get to contribute to what i think is a pretty great magazine.

normally i wouldn’t bother posting this, but i’ve been helping out a friend assemble this poster for the fuck yeah fest.  the drawing is by raymond pettibone, and i got to spend some time examining the original.  looks like there’s some good bands on the bill too.  see you there…

and here’s the big moster that josearis, brian, and sean chao built for the show.  the pics don’t do it justice.  it’s almost too big too get a shot of.  the body of the beast is inside the gallery, but it’s head comes through the front to the outside… crazy…

i haven’t posted in a while, due to being busy as heck, however i’m having a show tomorrow night at abacot…

some of the people i’m in the show with teamed up and built a giant monster.  it’s taken over the gallery, and is completely awesome.  i’ll post pics when i find my camera.  until then, here’s a tiny peek at a piece…
