shoowee dang! (or massive update time)

So, I haven’t posted anything new in a while on account of how busy I’ve been, but I have a chance to post now, so I’m hopping on the opportunity.

Just finished up 2 images for the very cool Randall Leers over at BusinessWeek. The first is for an article about interviewing young people, and the second is about rising misdeeds in non-profits.

I did this next piece a little while back but didn’t post it till now due to lack of time. Anyway it’s is my contribution to the second Fantagraphics Beast collection. My beast is the Dullahan. There are some really amazing artists in this book including Jaime Hernandez and Brian Chippendale. I’m honored to be a part of it.

I’m currently finishing up some final touches for my friend Jared Mees’s Album cover/packaging. Should be a really rockin album!

Also, I’ve been working with the super great people over at White Noise on a project in which I drew a bunch of flowers. Very interesting change of pace from my usual type of work. It ended up being surprisingly fun to work on. Here’s some examples of that:

Man this is a long post! Next thing is I currently have 5 pieces in a show up in Portland at the Pony Club Gallery. My awesome girlfriend, Erin Althea is also in the show, as are several friends/super-cool artists. I don’t have any scans of my new works for this show, but I’ll post them as soon as I get some…

So back to work for me. I’ve got a ton of work ahead of me in the near future including a show in NY and a new comic. That being said I’ll say goodbye for now and leave you with this sample page from the Below Us story I did for the anthology mentioned below…
