just finished up this spot for justin page over at the sfweekly.  it’s a fun illustration for the upcoming music festival: Hardly Strictly Bluegrass, featuring Will Oldham and MC Hammer on the same bill!  crazy stuff!  and here’s the sketches for that…

i just shipped off this piece (sorry about the poor image quality) for a massive multi national show out it london titled the joyful bewilderment. super excited to be a part of this show.  there are so many amazing people involved!  just wish I could go out there for the show.  the flyer is below for any of you who might be reading this from the UK.

Just finished up this cover illustration for Angela Moore over at the SF Reporter.  The article is about these new experimental caffee/loungy McDonalds resturants out in Sante Fe.  Apparently the writer of the article is sort of a Hunter S. Thompson of fastfood.  So there we are.

Also, I think I’m going to start posting sketches here and there with my illustration stuff.  I always like seeing it when other people post theirs, so….

So, I’m out in the big apple this week hussling for work and having a great time. Today I stopped into the American Folk Art Museum and saw a bunch of Henry Darger Art! I think I spent 3 hours gawking. There was also a great spread of contemporary artist featured, all super inspired (as I am) by Darger. Anyways it was AMAZING!
